Hi, I'm Monika. I'm a wife, mom of five, full-time veterinary technician student, and the creator behind Made By Monika Rene.
What many people don't know is that this business began long before there was a logo, a website, or a single tumbler for sale.
When my daughter Amora was born, I had a vision for her nursery. I wanted a Princess Aurora themed nursery set, but after searching everywhere, I couldn't find exactly what I had imagined. So I did what I've always done when life tells me "no", I figured out how to create it myself.
I taught myself to sew and made her nursery set from scratch.
What started as a mother's love for her daughter became the beginning of something much bigger.
For years, I dreamed about starting a custom business. I had the ideas, the creativity, and the passion, but like many moms, I put everyone else first. There was always another responsibility, another bill, another child who needed me, another reason to wait.
Then came Devin.
My husband has been one of the biggest blessings in my life and one of the biggest reasons this business exists today. While I always dreamed of building something of my own, he was the one who believed I could do it before I believed it myself. He encouraged me to stop waiting for the "perfect time" and start chasing the dream I'd been talking about for years.
Behind every late-night project, every business idea, every school assignment, and every challenge life has thrown our way, Devin has been there.
He's the husband who stays up late helping me study when I'm exhausted from school. The father who shows up for our children every single day. The partner who helps with homework, bedtime routines, household chaos, and everything in between. The man who somehow manages to support my dreams while carrying the weight of his own responsibilities without ever asking for recognition.
Simply put, Made By Monika Rene would not exist without him.
Together, we're raising five incredible children who inspire everything I do. We are also a proud autism family, with two of our children being autistic. Our family has taught us patience, resilience, unconditional love, and the importance of celebrating what makes each person unique.
Those lessons are woven into every part of this business.
Because to me, custom creations have never been just products.
They're stories.
They're memories.
They're reminders of who we are and what matters most.
